Woke pretty early as wind picking up creating lots of boat movement. Had breakfast while watching the wind gauge hit 33 knots in gusts! Getting rather concerned about our position on the outside of the Marina wall. Within a few minutes of Kevin tightening lines, the marina guys were with us, planning a move inside the marina, on a pontoon for protection. They adjusted ropes, added fenders, altered our tender then, without any stress undid all lines and manoeuvered us around the pontoon's. They make it look so damned simple in gale force winds and looking like drowned rats. Really impressed with them all, such a considerate team. Once retied we felt so much safer, and had a freebie coffee in the restaurant across the pavement. Extra bonus is Internet :) so we sat inside for an hour or so, then as the rain seemed to settle, we decided on a walk into town. The sky just got blacker and blacker!! Had a milkshake got some shopping then made a break for the marina. Too late, the heavens opened half way back to our boat. We were soaked! Drying off in a confined space is not easy, everything needs to hang up, and nothing to hang things on. Once dried, I cooked chicken, pasta and veg in a tomato sauce, turned out really well. Settled for the evening with some music, whilst revising our plan for Monday. So far, the weather is good for tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday. However, Wednesday is really windy again and rain is to follow for a few days, great!! Could really have done with a break in the weather.
